The view from below of San Carlo alle 4 Fontane dome by Borromini is overlapped on a fragment of sky of Sant’Ignazio vault by Andrea Pozzo. Some figures look out from niches and lantern; angels detach themselves from that virtual sky, floating in the center of scene and passing through a net of thin red threads; these wires underlines the geometric scheme of San Carlino dome which extends to the edge of the image.
This graphic is a giant and surreal postcard of Rome designed to bring its mood wherever in the world in any kind of environment.
